Last Updated: February 13, 2026
Welcome to EPIC Recovery, a service and online learning platform operated by 9345205 Canada Inc. (“EPIC Recovery”). These Terms of Use and Waiver of Liability govern your access to and use of all our online courses, content, and services, including those offered under the name "EPIC Recovery College" or any future programs. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and the Waiver.
1. Acceptance of Terms & Educational Disclaimer
By enrolling in, accessing, or using any program, course, or content offered by EPIC Recovery, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use and Waiver of Liability, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms applicable to specific services or features.
EPIC Recovery is not a recognized or accredited educational institution. We are not a college, university, or a professional college as defined by Canadian or Ontario law. We use the term "college" for certain programs to describe our learning community and curriculum, but this does not imply that we are a recognized post-secondary institution or regulated professional college. The programs and courses we offer are for educational and informational purposes only. You will not receive a diploma, degree, or any form of government-recognized credential. While a Certificate of Completion may be awarded for some courses, it is not a professional license or recognized qualification.
This program is not a medical or clinical treatment program, and it does not replace therapy, counselling, or medical advice. You acknowledge that:
- No therapist–client relationship is created by enrolling.
- No diagnosis or individualized treatment is provided.
- You are responsible for seeking qualified professional support for mental health or addiction-related issues.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our services.
2. Voluntary Participation, Third-Party Resources, and Results Disclaimer
Participation in this program is voluntary, and EPIC Recovery is not responsible for any outcomes resulting from the use or misuse of the information provided. While we strive to offer accurate and helpful content, we do not guarantee specific results.
Our programs may reference or link to external websites, support organizations, or books for your convenience and as suggestions. We do not assume responsibility for third-party content, accuracy, or appropriateness. Any engagement with these third-party resources is entirely at your discretion.
3. Program Options
EPIC Recovery offers various programs which may be purchased:
- As a standalone educational product, or
- As part of a community-based recovery package that includes additional services such as counselling, coaching, or accountability support.
Additional services are governed by separate agreements and are not included unless explicitly stated in your purchase confirmation.
4. Eligibility & Age Restriction
You confirm that you are at least 18 years of age. If you are under 18 years of age, you confirm that you have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to enroll.
5. Assumption of Risk
You acknowledge that engaging in emotionally reflective content—particularly in programs addressing addiction, trauma, or behavioral change—may lead to discomfort or distress. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with:
- Emotional responses to course material.
- Misinterpretation of content.
- Platform access interruptions.
- Use of external links or resources.
- Participating in any recommended exercises or journaling activities.
You are responsible for ensuring that your participation is safe, appropriate, and aligned with your personal recovery journey.
You agree to discontinue participation and seek appropriate professional support if you experience significant emotional distress.
Access is dependent on third-party platform availability (including Teachable), and EPIC Recovery is not responsible for platform outages beyond its control.
EPIC Recovery programs are not monitored in real time and are not crisis services. If you are experiencing thoughts of harming yourself or others, or are in emotional distress, you must contact emergency services (911 in Canada) or a local crisis line immediately.
6. Release of Liability
In consideration for being permitted to participate, you hereby release, waive, and forever discharge EPIC Recovery, its officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, successors, and assigns (collectively, “Releasees”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, damages, or causes of action of any kind—whether known or unknown—arising out of or related to:
- Your use of course materials.
- Emotional or psychological distress.
- Technical issues, data loss, or access disruption.
- Use of external third-party resources.
This release does not apply in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct by EPIC Recovery.

8. Account Registration and Security
You may be required to create an account through Teachable. You are responsible for maintaining your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
Account sharing is not permitted. Access is for your personal use only. Unauthorized sharing may result in revocation of access without refund.
9. Payment and Refund Policy
Payment is due at the time of enrollment.

11. Intellectual Property
All program materials—including videos, PDFs, worksheets, logos, and branding—are the intellectual property of EPIC Recovery (9345205 Canada Inc.).
By purchasing a program, you are granted a limited, non-transferable, non-commercial license to access materials for personal educational use only. You may not reproduce, record, distribute, or republish any content without written permission.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
All content is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We make no guarantees, express or implied, regarding the reliability, outcomes, or completeness of the materials.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EPIC Recovery and its directors, employees, agents, and affiliates are not liable for any:
- Direct or indirect damages.

14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Ontario, regardless of the province or territory in which you reside.
15. Severability
If any provision of this document is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as needed. The most current version will always be posted in your course dashboard. Continued use of the program after any changes indicates your acceptance of the revised terms.
